Shooting Star eye gel patches by Gaston. I have been using these eye patches for a while now and today I am here to share my thoughts about these eye gel patches.

Gaston is a brand of Mana International. It is a Korean premium cosmetics brand which makes extraordinary products under the motto "Beyond Beauty".

Gaston shooting star eye patches are water-soluble. They can be used on various spots of our body and not just under our eyes. The glitter used in these products is produced in Germany which is entirely safe to use on the human body. These shooting star eye gel patches are available in two versions:
1) Crystal Eye Gel Patch
2) Black Eye Gel Patch

The very first thing that caught my attention when I first saw these Hydrogel eye patches was the packaging of these products. These Hydrogel eye patches have an outer cardboard packing which is absolutely stunning. The galaxy illustrations on the boxes are so aesthetically pleasing. Kindly check my

These eye patches themselves come in a plastic container. When you open the container you can find a spatula placed on the top of the protective lid which is there to keep the eye patches from drying.
Each container has a total number of 60 (30 pairs) eye gel patches and has a shelf life of two years.

Brand claims that these crystal eye gel patches provides moisturization and brightens up the under eye.

Main Ingredients
As the brand claims that this product helps in brightening the skin, I found two ingredients in the ingredient list which does help in brightening up the skin:
1. Niacinamide:
Niacinamide is my favourite active ingredient. It is also known as Vitamin B3. It is a water soluble vitamin that works with the natural substances in your skin to help visibly improve enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, fine lines, wrinkles, dullness, and a weakened surface.
2. Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate:
It is a stable, water-soluble form of Vitamin C that functions as an antioxidant and is potentially effective for brightening an uneven skin tone.
Above mentioned two ingredients alongside
Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E)
also helps in anti-aging hence are great to smoothen out the fine lines under the eyes.
Humectants
such as
Sodium Hyaluronate
,
Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate , Butylene Glycol and Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate
helps to keep the skin hydrated. These humectants help collect moisture in the environment and bind it to the skin which allows the skin to absorb the water.
My Verdict
These crystal eye gel patches are transparent and have black glitter particles on them. The glitter particles on the hydrogel eye patches make them look aesthetically pleasing but they do not trouble me in any way at all. I love the fact that when I remove these eye patches they do not leave any glitter particles on my skin at all. The patches themselves are very soft hence they do not feel uncomfortable under the eyes. My eyes are really sensitive so I avoid using products under my eyes that have fragrance in them but these hydrogel patches though have a fragrance, it is very mild that it doesn't irritate my eyes at all plus I love how they smell so it is a win-win situation.
I have been using these eye patches for a long time now and I honestly love them.
I wear these eye patches for 20 mins once or twice a week but they are completely safe to use every day as well.
They sure do moisturize and brighten my under eyes. Sometimes I use these eye patches directly on dry patches on my face as well and trust me it does wonders.

Main Ingredients
The main ingredient in these eye patches for me is surely
Centella Asiatica Extract.
Centella Asiatica Extract is rich in amino acids, beta carotene, fatty acids, and numerous phytochemicals. These extracts have been found to calm inflammation, speed wound healing, stimulate new cell growth, build collagen and improve circulation.
Black Complex
including, wild soya bean, black rice, black sesame, black pepper, mulberries fruit, cacao, cinnamon provides nutrition and conditioning which helps to revitalize skin and help maintain healthy skin.
While another ingredient ie.
pure tea extract
is there to help soften skin texture.
My Verdict
Look wise these eye patches are far more aesthetically pleasing than the crystal eye patches. These eye patches are black and because of the glitter and stars on them, they remind me of a galaxy which obviously is what the brand intended it to look like. I wear these eye patches for 20 mins and when I remove them my under eyes look visibly moisturized and brightened. I absolutely love the cooling effect these eye patches provide. I love to use these eye patches, especially after a strenuous day. The soothing effect of these eye patches really help to de-puff my tired puffy eyes and help me relax.
Final Verdict
Overall I am very impressed by this brand and their products. These eye patches deliver what they claim. What I love the most about these eye patches is that they do not dry out really fast.
